About Perth Maids

Am I responsible for any workers’ compensation or insurance?

No. We are fully insured and handle all workers’ compensation and public liability insurance.

Do you have a minimum number of hours?

We require a minimum of 2 hours per booking.

We recommend the hours required for your home or office cleaning service based on the information you provide when we complete your in-home quote.

What are the Perth Maids working hours?

From 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

We are also available on weekends and public holidays with no extra cost.

Do you offer competitive rates?

Are your cleaning teams trained and supervised?

Yes. Mindy selects and trains all of our team members before they are permitted to enter your home or office.

We provide ongoing training as new products and methods emerge on the market.

Each team includes a team leader who ensures that all tasks are completed. Mindy also visits periodically to ensure our teams are maintaining our high standards.

Are your employees insured and bonded?

Yes, because your peace of mind is our priority. We have the best available insurances, including public liability and workers’ compensation coverage that include your home or office and our team members. Let us know if you need us to send you the certificates validating our cover.

Choosing Your Cleaner

Will my initial clean cost more than my regularly scheduled services?

Over the years, we’ve found that the first cleaning service brings your home or office up to a specific standard that Perth Maids is committed to upholding. We need extra time to properly begin the process of eliminating mildew, soap scum, dust, and dirt from your home or office.

So, your initial clean may take longer and cost a little more than the rest of your services.

What cleaning products do you use?

We combine traditional and environmentally friendly cleaning products to protect your home or office, and ensure we deliver the highest standards possible. Our teams arrive fully equipped to clean, but If you want us to use any of your products, just let us know.

Will I always have the same cleaning team?

When you book a regular clean and stick to an agreed schedule, we aim to send the same team to clean your house or office.

The Perth Maids team leader learns your requirements, becomes familiar with your home or office and trains other team members to deliver consistent quality cleans. Occasionally, illness, holidays or staff changes may mean we need to change one of the team members.

If you need to change your cleaning date or time for any reason, we’ll try our best to send you the same cleaning team.

Do your cleaners have a police clearance?

Yes, all our cleaners are police cleared. Mindy knows all our team members personally – they are selected based on their honesty, work ethic and high standards.

How many people will clean my home or office?

In most cases, we work in small, efficient teams of two. There is no better way to provide you with an effective, personalised, non-intrusive service.

How often can I use your service?

Whether you need our regular home or office cleaning service every week, fortnight or even daily, you just have to ask. We’re flexible, so you can enjoy our cleaning services as often as you need them.

We also offer a range of one-off cleaning services for rental inspections and moving in or moving out cleans.

Can Perth Maids come out to our home and quote?

Of course! In fact, for regular cleaning services, we highly recommend booking a meeting with Mindy at your home or office. She will go through your cleaning requirements with you, then give you an accurate obligation-free quote based on the hours of cleaning you need.

Our process is transparent and professional right from the start. And, if you’re ready to get started, Mindy can even arrange your regular cleaning schedule during your meeting.

For one-off cleans, Mindy can give you an estimate via email, text or phone call.

About Your Clean

What should I do if I think the cleaner has damaged something?

Our cleaners have a process in place so we can notify you if they damage anything in your home or office.

Please make sure you contact us as soon as possible if you discover a damaged item and we will do our best to resolve your issue asap.

Perth Maids is a fully insured cleaning company. We have full Public Liability insurance, which covers the full price for compensation if we cause damage to your property.

Can my pets be in while my house is being cleaned?

We love pets and are very careful around them. It’s best if you let us know in advance what kind of pets you have. We will take care to not startle them or accidentally let them outside. We also ask that you secure or confine them as appropriate, in case visitors make them nervous.

What do I do if I have an alarm system?

If your home or office has a security system, you can choose your preferred approach. You can disable the system when your clean is scheduled or give us entry and exit codes. We will reset the alarm when we leave.

Do I need to be home when you clean my home or office?

It’s your choice. Many customers find it convenient and efficient to give us a key or leave one in a safe place, so they’re free to go out. Likewise, alarm systems can either be left off or you can give us entry and exit codes.

Do I need to do anything before my cleaning team arrives?

To get the most value from our cleaning service, it is helpful if you pick up toys, laundry, household items or clutter before we arrive. This allows us to move through your home or office more quickly, which can reduce the cost.

Please leave fresh linen out so we can change the bedding and towels. And put away any important documents and valuables.

No worries if you don’t have time to tidy up, Perth Maids is here to help. As we move through your house, we will neatly pile and arrange any items left on floors or furniture.

Will I be locked into a contract?

No, you are not locked into a contract for booking our regular cleaning service. But, if required, we can prepare a formal contract for home or office cleaning – just let us know.

Do you offer one-off services like spring cleans or end-of-lease cleans?

Perth Maids offers spring cleans for homes and offices. You can also book moving in cleans, end-of-lease cleans, and rental inspection cleans. We know the standards and inclusions expected by real estate agents and we complete all necessary tasks in our cleans.

What extra cleaning services can Perth Maids provide?

As well as our regular detailed home or office cleaning service, Perth Maids can provide the following services if requested in advance:

  • Change linen, make beds

  • Sweeping the garage, patio & outdoor areas

You can add these services on to your regular clean, for example, you might want ironing every visit. Or, you can add them as a one-off to any individual visit, for example, you might just want your oven cleaned every now and then.

We only charge the normal hourly cleaning rate for the extra services – ask Mindy about pricing these extra services.

What is deep cleaning and why do I need it?

To provide you with the cleanest, healthiest environment for your home or office, Perth Maids uses our Detailed Cleaning System.

We add value by using HEPA-equipped vacuums to remove allergens from the air and furniture. And we include tasks other cleaners miss such as cleaning under beds and on top of appliances. It’s why so many of our customers recommend us to their friends as the most thorough, effective and professional choice in Perth.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies or equipment?

No. Perth Maids will always arrive at your home or office with our own cleaning products and equipment. If you specifically want us to use your cleaning products or equipment (like Enjo, etc.) we can do so.

What is your process for cleaning after COVID?

Head to our COVID update for all our processes to keep your home or office safe and clean.

Changes To Your Cleaning Schedule

Can I organise some extra hours of cleaning this week?

Sure. If you can let us know at least 24 hours in advance – we will be happy to arrange this for you.

I am going on a holiday, what do I need to do?

If you’re going away, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. Many of our clients continue their cleaning while they’re on holiday so they return to a beautifully clean home.

What happens if my regular appointment falls on a public holiday?

We don’t charge any extra for cleaning on weekends and public holidays as we don’t want to disrupt your cleaning services. But, if you’d prefer to reschedule your clean, please let us know and we’ll make arrangements to move it to another day.

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please text or call Mindy at least 48 hours beforehand, so we can adjust our schedule and itinerary accordingly.

We’ll work with you to reschedule your appointment by checking the availability of your current cleaning team. If they’re not available for your new time, we’ll organise another cleaning team to make sure you don’t miss out.
